This is absolutely one of the best cinnamon sugar wrapped goodness....:)
Saw the recipe for this donut muffins at allrecipes website and had to try it. I could almost taste the sugar and cinnamon even while reading the recipe..:)
So here is the recipe
For muffins.
-------------
1 cup all-purpose flour.
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup or 1/2 stick of melted butter
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
For rolling
--------------
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease 24 mini muffin cups.
- Mix 1/2 sugar, 1/4 cup butter and nutmeg in a bowl. Then stir in milk, baking powder and flour until just combined. Fill the prepared mini muffin cups about half way full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, till the muffins are lightly brown and inserting a toothpick comes out clean.
- In a bowl, place the 1/4 cup melted butter. In a separate bowl, mix the 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. When the muffins are ready, dip each muffin individually first in the melted butter and then roll it in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.Cool and serve.
