How lovely is this wreath!
And so easy to make too.
It was raining here the whole day yesterday and was the perfect day for relaxing at home and get some craft work done. It seems like it has been a while since I made something. Last month was busy with Christmas and other festivities and now I am gradually getting back to my routine. So I started this year, by making this simple paper wreath. It is simple and striking at the same time.
You can make this with any color craft paper or will look great with book or magazine pages too. I used the printer paper to make this wreath and I like the crisp white effect of this wreath.
You'll need:
--------------
- Paper
- Wreath form
- Glue
Steps:
--------
- Cut a whole bunch of petals out of paper and fold in half and open it up, so you get a crease line in the center.
- Wrap strips of paper around the wreath form. I do not think it is required, but I did thinking that the petals would stick better.
- Start gluing the petals on the wreath form.
- Keep gluing till the wreath is covered and you are happy with it

DeleteGreat wreath! Love that you didn't use any fancy machine to make the leaves. Visiting from Wednesday Showcase.
ReplyDeleteYes, didn't need to use any fancy equipment ๐. Thank you for your sweet comment.
DeleteIt's nice, but how long is a paper wreath going to last? I only ask because you spent some time on this and I'm thinking that as soon as you hang it on the door, it will be ruined when it rains??
ReplyDeleteIt will definitely get ruined if it is left in the rain.. it is made of paper after all...:) My wreath has been hanging on the door and it has been raining here, but the wreath is still intact since we have a porch. I guess, you need to put it where it does not get wet...:)
DeleteSuper cute!I thought this would be way more complex than it turned out to be from your tutorial. Those are my favorite kinds of projects! Thanks for sharing this at the #happynowlinkup

DeleteYour wreath looks beautiful... I like the simple look of the white wreath, but can see the possibilities with many other colors. Great project. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment.
DeleteYes I agree, it can be made in different colors for different seasons...:)
This is such a classic-looking wreath. From a distance, I might think it was made of porcelain or ceramic, not paper. And, your tutorial made it look so easy! I'm pinning to a craft group board.
