What a joy to sit and relax on a Saturday bright afternoon with a magazine..:). Well, I was relaxed for just 20 minutes, till my little one got up and started to cry. But that's how long it takes to make this wreath. And ain't that adorable.
Instructions:
- Cut a cardboard in the shape of the wreath.
- Take an old magazine and cut a few pages into strips. Just play with the thickness of the strips you like. I didn't even care to make all the strips equal, just eye-balled it.
- Take a strip of paper and bring the small edge together and glue or staple it, so that it forms a loop. Repeat it for all the other strips of paper.
- Then start gluing or stapling the loops to the cardboard wreath starting from the outermost circle. And that's it!

Cleverly done! I love the random mix of colors and text. I'm wondering if I sorted the images by color then did a "planned" wreath...hmmm. Even one with just black and white text would look cool. Thanks for the inspiration. Love it!

DeleteI'd like to do this with an old (broken, discarded) book! The yellowed pages and old font would look fabulous. And maybe covering the edge with a grosgrain ribbon or something to "finish" it. Nice, thanks for the idea!!
