Paper Rosettes.

I made this for my daughter's Butterfly themed Birthday some time back. Thought about writing the tutorial for it today.

You'll need
---------------
Paper
Glue
Scissors

Steps:
-----------
-Draw a spiral on a piece of paper, just like the picture below.

- Cut along the spiral, so you get something like this.

- Now start rolling the paper from one end of the paper just like shown in the picture below. From the picture you can see, I started rolling from the end where the pen is pointing.

- Keep rolling till you have rolled the whole spiral. Once you are done rolling the whole spiral if you keep it down and see, you will have something like this. It already looks like a flower..:)

- To keep the flower intact you need to put a dab of glue in the base. In the picture below, put the glue where the pen is pointing and put the rest of the flower on the glue, so that the flower does not un-coil.

That's it! Now make a whole lot more of these rosettes and let your imagination flow as to where you can use these. I made a whole bunch and stuck in a cone structure which I made out of old calendar paper.( you can use contruction paper..:)).

Here's a closer look at these beautiful rosettes..

And some more beautiful pictures, because I can't ge enough of it..:)

  8. I saw these "roses" on another blog--hers was a wreathe. I made 3; I think I might make a "spray" of them to accent a wreathe. They would be lovely in pastels for a tree or wreathe for spring, metallics for Christmas....

  9. The pattern is more simple then I thought it would be. It's surprising how it's made.
