Aren't these beautiful!
I cant take the credit for making these beauties though. My daughter made these and I had to learn from her how to make them 😀
Paper flowers are so great for decorations - no worries about them withering and they definitely last longer.
Lets get to making these flowers. Below are the step by step tutorial for making these paper flowers. I might be able to make a video at a later time and post it too But for now wanted to still post with these detailed pictured steps.
You'll just need colored papers, cut in rectangles. The size of the paper depends on the size of the flower you make. For my flowers, I used 3 x 3.5" rectangles.
For one flower you will need
- six colored paper cut in rectangles.
- thread to tie the petals.
Start with one rectangle piece of paper. Fold this piece in half length wise and make a crease, so when you open up you get a crease line in the middle.
Bring the corners in to the line in the center like the pictures below.
Now fold the top and bottom edges and bring on the middle too. See the picture below.
And then fold this in half by bringing both the edges together.
These flowers look fun to make and look cute in a bouquet! I've seen you popping up at link parties and I'd like to invite you to the Home Matters Link Party every Thursday (9pm) through Monday. We have 12 features each week and you're welcome to share older posts. Hope to see you there!
