DIY Christmas Tree

I was at Hobby Lobby few days back and saw similar-looking Christmas trees and thought why not make these instead of buying  And that's exactly what I did and that too at a fraction of the price it was being sold at 😉. It came together pretty easily too, that I made a bunch of them 😃

So let's dive into the steps to craft thesecharming and budget-friendly holiday centerpiece.

Materials You'll Need:

Cardstock: For the tree base or you even use the foam tree base. Ribbons. Scissors: For cutting the paper. Glue or Double-Sided Tape: To assemble the tree layers. Steps: Prepare the Base: Using the cardstock, roll and create a cone shape. Now simply start from the top and start rolling and gluing the ribbons onto the cone shape, while overlapping each layer, like the picture below.

I liked the ribbons I used, but it was too broad. Broader ribbons are difficult to roll around while also covering the tree fully, so I cut the ribbons in half lengthwise. Remember to do that, if you find that the ribbons you use are difficult to roll around and cover the tree form.

Cover the whole tree this way and there you have it. How simple is that! 🙂.

  3. They turned out beautiful. What did you use as the base for the cone to wrap the ribbon around?

    1. Thank you Joy! Any thick construction paper would do to make the base. I used old calendar paper to make mine.
