Paper Chandelier

Its been quiet sometime since my last post. Phew, this summer is getting more busy than the school days. I guess its the same for many of us. We have been shuffling kids between camps, trying to keep them busy. Also we wanted to take few road trips and we just returned from one. What a refreshing break it was and I am already ready for another trip.

I had made these paper chandelier few days back, just because my daughter has been asking for one to put in her room. Well, she didn't say paper chandelier and I am pretty sure she meant a real one. But then when she saw this paper version, she was quiet delighted...:)

 You'll need:

String

Steps:

- I folded paper in half and drew two kinds of design which I liked. I made six of each of these designs and then cut it out.

- I started gluing the paper alternating each of the designs. So basically glued the sides of design 1 paper to the sides of design 2. 

- I glued six of each kind of design to make the full chandelier. But when I was done gluing half of the designs, I glued a piece of string to make the hanger and then glued the rest of the designs.

- When it is all done, it looked like this. Isn't it pretty.
