Spring Fabric Wreath

I love this spring fabric wreath. Its bright and colorful and I think its just appropriate for spring.

I had an old dress, the fabric of which I loved. The dress just went of style, so I cut strips of that dress and wrapped it around the wreath form.  I decorated the wreath, with fabric flowers. You can see the tutorial for some of the fabric flowers here. I also added a little bunting.

Fabric Yo-Yos.

I have made and used yo-yos in many of my projects, but didn't get a chance to write up a tutorial until now.

I used yo-yos to decorate the aprons I made for the cooking Birthday Party.

Another Fabric Flower

It looks like I am on a roll. I love fabric flowers and these days I have been making quiet a few of different kinds of fabric flowers. I used these to dress up a gift. But these pretty things can be used to beautify lot of things - hairbands, purses, sweaters and lot of other things.

I had posted making these flowers sometime back, but I wasn't sure if the instructions were clear enough. I love this fabric flower, because how full the flower looks. I have used these flowers on my daughter's hair clips, embellishing my sweaters, my bags...  endless possibilities..:)

I make different types of fabric flowers and today I thought about writing the tutorial for maybe one of the easiest types of fabric flowers you could make.

Fabric Flowers

I have been hooked on to making fabric flowers.
It was few years back that an aunt came to visit us. She was really talented. Among the many things she could do, she did wonderful ribbon embroidery. And she taught me few stitches and left me some scrap fabric and some ribbons, so that I can practice on my own how to make the flowers. All those things have been lying neatly in the box till now. She even got me a book on Ribbon Embroidery from the library.
