Spiral Paper Backdrop

Sometime back, walking through the mall and doing some window shopping, noticed these beautiful backdrop at one of the store window displays. These were made with papers and you know how much I love paper. I had to come home and give it a try. And I am glad I did, these turned out beautiful.

Making it is super easy. Great for using as backdrops for parties and even weddings.

You'll need:
--------------
Paper ( I used white printer paper. But I guess you can use any paper in any color)
Paper Clips
staple

Steps:
-------
- Cut 1" - 1 1/2" thickness strips of paper.
- Use one strip as the spine of the garland. Use other strips to roll and make any design and use paper clips to secure the rolled paper to the spine. Just like the picture below.

- Once you are satisfied with the design, you can staple the rolled paper to spine and remove the paper clips.
- To increase the length of the garland just attach by stapling another strip of paper to the spine.

Keep going and admiring your work...:)

  1. These are so lovely, Priyam! And you were so creative to figure out how to make them! I can imagine a whole wall of these - but first I would use glue to hold together for a more finished look!

    1. Thank you Gail!! You are absolutely right. Glue would definitely give it a more finished look... The lazy me knew that, but still didn't do it..:( For the event I am planning to put the backdrop up, I think I should though. Thank you so much for the visit and your comment..Appreciate it.:)

  2. These are neat! I have a project at school (Design College) where they have to use only white paper and materials to create it. This reminds me of that.
