I have been collecting tissue paper rolls thinking of making something out of it. Finally I came up with this wall decor. You can make so many different designs with these rolls.
Apart from the wall decor things, you can use these cardboard rolls for your other projects. Check out these favor boxes I made using these rolls.
And also these wall decor
But back to today's project.
You'll need:
-------------
- Cardboard rolls from tissue paper rolls.
- Scissors
- Glue.
Steps:
------
- Cut 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick of rolls from the cardboard rolls.
- After you have cut the rolls, start playing with these cutouts to make your design till you are happy with it.
- Once you are satisfied with your design. Start gluing your pieces together. You can even spray paint your design if you want.

That is so pretty, and is amazing that you just made it from cardboard tubes.
ReplyDeleteThank you..:)
DeleteGreat ideas! I have a hard time throwing away paper towel rolls, so I'll have to try this!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. Now you have something else to try to do with the rolls...:)
DeleteI always save my rolls (from TP too!) and then never do anything with them - til hubby gets fed up and throws them away LOL! THIS TIME, I'm going to do it! Thank you for sharing! Please come link with us at Merry Monday Linky Sunday 6pm PST! Julia

ReplyDeleteThank you Dee..:)
DeleteWow...this looks fantastic!! May be spray painting them black color would make them look like wrought iron ones.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!..spray painting would be a great idea too...:)
DeletePriyam, this is really pretty! Thanks for sharing. Pinned to the Retro Re-pin Party board. We hope to see you on Tuesday, Dec. 30th for our next party.

DeleteThis is such a great upcycle project, I'm particularly taken with the little gift boxes though.
ReplyDeleteI love those little packets too..:)
DeleteThese are beautiful works of art...........
ReplyDeleteI once made a Christmas wreath, many moons ago, with paper towel
rolls cut the same way and flatened, then spray painted it gold
and put tiny Christmas balls on it. I had it for years and we
loved it, and was sorry to see it go when it started falling apart.
These are such cute ideas and so with it for todays decorating,
and like you say you can spray it any color if you want.
Great job.
Blessings, and nice to meet yo hear in blogland,
Nellie
Thank you Nellie!
DeleteGreat to meet you here too..:)
Wonderful to hear about your wreath project. Its amazing how many different things you could make with these rolls which otherwise would have ended up in the trash..:)
I love these ideas. I actually have a whole paper of rolls waiting to be turned into favor boxes. Great minds think alike!
ReplyDeleteNice! Time to create something now that you have your supplies ready 😊
DeleteCute ideas~
ReplyDeleteThank you Carol!
DeleteI think any project made with empty toilet paper rolls is the ultimate upcycle project! We throw these away all the time! I like your design where you glued the pieces together. I wonder if it would hold up to be used as a trivet (hot plate holder)for your dining table? It might if it's sprayed with acrylic sealer . . .(?) Great job!
ReplyDeleteI think so too. It can be used as a trivet and I think also if the design is such that the pieces are glued closer together, they might be stronger too.
DeleteSO neat! I have used them for favor boxes but as much as I keep meaning to do a craft with them I have yet to actually do that. Thanks for sharing with us at Together on Tuesdays. Pinned.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
