We celebrated the end of the school year and the start of the summer with a mini graduation get together. I like to celebrate little and big achievements and that’s exactly what we did this past weekend.

With so much sweet stuff already during Valentine, I love to have some non-candy valentines ideas too. So, this year we made these bubble bottles with the writings " your friendship blows me away".

Valentine box

Wanted to share what my daughter made for her valentine Box. First she wanted to make a dog with an open mouth to collect the valentine. So she wrapped the shoe box with brown paper. Then just a day before she had to take the box, she said she would like to make the unicorn instead. Oh well, we didn't have time and patience to wrap the box again with white paper, so we went with brown paper base. Though white paper would have looked great, this wasn't too bad, right?..;)

Classroom Valentine.

I have made the non-candy valentine, for the past few times for my kids to give it out to their classmates. I definitely prefer non-candy valentine. But this time my daughter wanted to give out chocolates. You can guess, she is a big chocolate lover...:) So I made these and I think these are cute - heart shaped chocolate to make the arrows.

You make My Heart Soar Valentine

I worked on getting the valentine exchange gifts ready for the kids classroom today. The other day, when I was at the store, found these airplane making kit and loved it. Just perfect for the little kids, which they will have fun playing with later.
I also found just the appropriate wording " You make my heart soar" to go with these kit. Aren't these cute!

Cupcake Wrapper Flowers

The other day, one of my kids told me that she had to make somethings for her classmates for a project. With something of a last minute thing, we settled on making these cupcake liner flowers, attached to the end of the pencils. Well, second graders do need pencils with a pretty topper, don't they?..:D We also made some pet rocks and maybe I will keep that for another post. It was fun making pet rocks too.

For now, let's get back to these flowers. I think, these will be cute to pass even during valentine  gift exchange in class. Or may be make a bunch of these and make a bouquet for your school teachers with a note " Thank you for helping me bloom".

Fabric Markers on Tshirts.

Few days back, for a class project we made these Tshirts. I hand drew on a paper first, then let the kids trace it on Tshirts and they colored it too with the fabric markers.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Aren't these adorable!

Made these for our wonderful teachers. We are so thankful for them. This year too, I planned to make the same teacher appreciation gift which I did last year. You can see what I made here . I like the Smores idea a lot I guess, because I love chocolates and it is so easy to put together.

Pin the nose on the snowman game

Yesterday at school, the kids celebrated the last day of school before the winter break with some fun games, crafts and food. We had different stations set up for the kids to visit and do activities. I was responsible for one of the game stations, which was 'Pin the nose on the snowman' game. A couple of nights before, I made this snowman. How cute is that!

Snowflakes in July

The other day we did a little experiment at home and the kids loved it. The outcome was even more exciting. You don't need snow to have snowflakes, you can make your own snowflakes and that too in summer...how cool is that..:).

Classroom Valentine Gifts

In my son's classroom, they exchange gifts for Valentine. Last week, I got an email from my son's class teacher with the list of kids name with whom he will be exchanging gifts. It didn't have to be big, just small items to exchange. So I made cards with a sign "I am a sucker for you" and put a sucker in that card. I thought it was cute.

Teacher Appreciation week

Last week we celebrated the teachers appreciation week at my son's school. Each day of the week we did fun stuff. One day the kids got to wear the teacher's favorite sport's team color shirt. the next day it was flowers for the teachers, the next we made some home baked treats. For the home made treats, I made these apple cupcakes and I had so much fun decorating and packing them in these cute boxes. I love how these cupcakes turned out. The idea for the cupcake and the free printables can be found here.
