Happy Halloween!!

Hope you all are ready for some trick n treats this Halloween!! We sure are!!
The cobwebs are hanging, the creepy man is sitting by the door, making scary noises if someone comes close to him and a skeleton too hanging by the door. I think we have enough creepy things going on in our house, but our kids always want  more scary stuff. I don't think we will ever have enough of decorations to put on our yard... :)

Painting Birthday Party.

We had a fun paint Birthday party few days back. The kids got to paint little figurines at the party, which was also one of the favors.

I had a hodge podege of ideas till only few days before the party as to what I wanted for that day, but it came out all well at the end..:) Had fun making the paint palette cookies. The rice krispie paint brushes was a last minute addition we made on the day of the party. I love colorful parties and the theme for this party was itself colorful, so loved everything about it.

Holly cookies

To kick off this Advent season, I made these holly cookies...:) Actually started making grinch cookies, but then the other day I had gone to Target and saw these holly sprinkles, which I picked up. So instead of grinch cookies, ended up making these...:)

Carrot Whoopie Pies

My kids are not big vegetable eaters. But then they do like to dip vegetables in ranch dressing and eat. They just love ranch dressing. So we got this big bag of carrots from Costco, thinking that they will eat carrots with ranch. They did eat carrots..a little, but we realized they were eating mostly the ranch. I am serious they are quiet capable of finishing half a bowl of ranch with just two small carrots. I think, they were also getting tired of eating too many carrots just as is, so wanted to try making something else with those carrots.

Shortbread Cookies

Just love these crumbly, flaky cookies, which is also one of my favorites. Not so sweet and great for having with tea or coffee too.

Rolled Sugar Cookie

I love making rolled sugar cookies. It is so much fun cutting different shapes and then decorating. And my kids love these cookies so much that as soon as these comes out of the oven, they would have already enjoyed a handful of it.

Sugar Cookies

I remember Christmas time surrounded by family and lots of food. My dad loved to eat and my mom loved making all the goodies. As we grew older my sisters and I would help my mom in the kitchen. My mom and sisters made tons of stuff. Being the youngest at home, I didn't do much of cooking then, but did a lot of eating.
Now that I have my children of my own, I have started to enjoy making all the yumm stuff. Last Christmas, I had a big spread of cookies and cakes. I will post the recepies for all the cookies I made starting with the sugar cookies. These were very simple to make and decorating them was so much fun.
