Beach Inspired Jute Lantern

Yesterday, I saw some beachy nautical lanterns in the store and thought of making my own version of it. It turned out great and that too, in a fraction of the price that it was selling for..:)  And I'll show you how easy it was to make.

I already had everything I needed. I used an empty pasta sauce bottle, which I cleaned and washed removing the labels and making it sparkling clean and I always have jute rope in my craft stash..:)

Day at the beach

Even though we live so close to the ocean, we do not get to go to the beach as often as we would like to. But this past weekend was the first trip to the beach this summer and we got to spend some quality relaxing time at the beach...:)  The weather was perfect - the kids played in the water, collected shells and had fun making sand castle.

Day at the Beach

This is from the trip to the beach last summer. The kids had so much fun, making sand castles, collecting sand crabs, rocks and shells. When the kids had collected some rocks, I started playing with the rocks too, placing the rocks in different ways and one of the things I loved was making these paws with the rocks. How cool is this!!!
