Cork Sail Boats

I wanted to share one of the projects that my daughter did. She loves arts and crafts. You might want to check out some of her other art works at http://rheasart.blogspot.com/
These boats can actually float, so its fun racing them. Try blowing bubbles using the straw or come up with ways to make your boat move forward and race...:)

For making these sailboats, you'll need:
-------------------------------------------------
3 Wine corks
2 Craft sticks
1 wooden Skewer
A triangle piece of paper to make the sail.
Glue.

Steps:
----------
The photo of the boat is pretty self-explanatory, but I will try to put in words..

- Glue the three corks together on their side to form the base of the sailboat.
- Glue two craft sticks to the top of the corks
 - Take a skewer and attach one end of the triangle piece of paper to one end of the skewer.
- Insert the other end of the skewer to the middle cork and attach the base of the triangle piece to the craft stick just like the picture.

That's it. You are ready to sail your cork boat..:)
