Cookie Dessert cups

This is a fun way to serve icecream or in my case, some cream cheese with whipped cream in these cookie cups.

I wanted to make something which was not difficult to make, but looked fancy. I was running out of time, when we had some guests over for dinner and I needed to make some dessert. So, I used the store bought cookie dough, but you can  use your own favorite cookie recipe or even brownie recipe would work great to make these cups.

For cream cheese filling;
------------------------------
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

I baked the cookies in the cupcake pan. Just drop the cookie dough by spoonfull in the cupcake  pan and when they done and still warm, I used the back of a spoon to make a dent in the cookie to form the cups.

Once cool, take out the cups from the cupcake pan. Now you can fill it up the cream cheese filling and serve..
When serving icecream in these cups, it tastes good, if you have the cups a little warm...yummm..

  1. Lovely idea Priyam Didi! But couldn't we also press the cookie dough into the cupcake mould prior to baking? Cant wait
    to try this for my two year old's birthday party this month!

    1. I think it depends on the type of cookie dough you are using. If you use like sugar cookie recipe to make the cups and freeze it before baking it, it will retain the shape. Most of the cookie recipe expands when you bake and does not necessarily retain the shape. If it doesn't, then you can use the spoon when the cookie is still warm to make the shape of the cups. Hope this helps..:)
