We had a gingerbread decorating playdate this past weekend and the girls were so creative. Its always fun to decorate houses with friends. There was lot of chatting and giggling and also ofcourse eating lot of candies while decorating too. They were all high on sugar by the end. But I think they did get to burn little bit of it, since till the decorated house was getting dry, they played hide and seek and they did run quiet a bit.
Above was one of the decorated houses.
To make the decorating easier and less messier, I pre-assembled the houses using Graham crackers, so that the kids can get straight to decorating.
The table all set with graham cracker houses.
Finally after everyone was done decorating.
After the houses were all decorated, we had snacks and ofcourse hot chocolate.
We had cookies and fruits. The strawberries were supposed to look like santa ..:) I filled them up with cream cheese and used mini chocolate for the eyes.
Chocolate bar was a hit with the kids and I had so much fun setting it up.
