Princess and Pirate Birthday.

Yesterday we celebrated a princess Birthday. It was a princess Birthday for a little girl, but there were some little boys who were invited too to the party. So to accommodate the boys, we had pirate and princess themed birthday party.

For food, there were wand cookies, which were sugar cookies on the stick. I followed this recipe for sugar cookie.

I also made wand fruits. I cut watermelon with start cookie cutter and arranged star watermelon, red grapes and strawberry on a stick.

I had these sword toothpicks, which I used to put grapes and made fruit swords with it. I forgot to take pictures of that, but in the above picture you can some of those swords next to the fruit wand.

I made the princess and pirate cupcakes, which were chocolate cupcakes with chocolate and pink vanilla frosting.

Apart from pizza and other food items we also had (gold)fish and chips, literally speaking..:)

And corn dog.

For activities, apart from the jumpie, girls had fun playing in this play castle, which I made with empty cardboard boxes.

Kids also walked on the plank and dug for treasure

which they put in these favor bags.

Oh, did I mention, I made the Birthday cake too. The cake was chocolate and vanilla cake with fresh whipped cream filling and homemade buttercream frosting.

All the princess and pirate printables came from herehere and here.

  4. How cute are all the details of this party. My daughter is in love with princesses, but she LOVES Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Weird combination I know. This party would be perfect for her. Also, I have nominated your blog for the Liebster Award. You can read more about it here: http://www.shambray.com/2014/09/i-was-nominated-for-leibster-award-at.html

  9. What a fun party! My boys had pirate parties but we have a set of twins in our family (one boy and one girl) so that we have also attended pirate/ princess parties or cowgirl/cowboy parties. It's fun to think of themes that work for both genders.
